who is the kraftsman?
A lifetime of fascination with second hand objects, gained while trawling the markets of Berlin as a child with my sculptor father & artistic mother, and then later all over Europe, led me to recognise the beautiful shapes found in everyday objects. An apprenticeship as a Pattern Maker for the Casting Industry, whilst being a horrible four years, I now understand gave me skills that I use every single day in working with a variety of different materials including timber, metal and plastics. Moving to AustraIia nearly 30 years ago allowed me to further expand my search for beautiful things and develop further my knowledge of different materials. I am Arne, The Kraftsman, and I pride myself on bringing items back to their former glory. This Kabinet is a space where I offer beautifully designed quality items gathered from all corners of the globe.
